Submission Preparation Checklist

As part of the submission process, authors are required to check off their submission's compliance with all of the following items, and submissions may be returned to authors that do not adhere to these guidelines.
  • The submission has not been previously published, nor is it before another journal for consideration (or an explanation has been provided in comments to the Editor).
  • The manuscript has been written using either the provided Microsoft Word or LaTeX template.
  • Where available, DOI numbers and URLs have been provided in the references.
  • The figures are of print quality and have a resolution of at least 200 dpi.
  • All figures and tables are placed at appropriate locations within the text, rather than at the end.
  • Names, affiliations, and email addresses of up to two suggested reviewers, and any persons you would not like assigned to this submission, have been entered in the comments to the Editor.

Author Guidelines

Authors are requested to submit their manuscripts written using either the provided Microsoft Word or LaTeX templates. If the manuscript is written in LaTeX, only the compled PDF version of the manuscript needs to be uploaded during the initial peer-review stage. If accepted for publication, an archive containing all source files (*.tex, *.sty, *.cls, *.bib, *.bst, etc.) and images placed in the correct directory structure will need to be uploaded, in addition to the compiled PDF version of the manuscript, during the copyediting stage. Supplementary files such as appendices, data sets, and computer scripts may be submitted along with the manuscript.

Comments to the Editor (traditionally a cover letter) may be entered in the comments section during submission. Authors are suggested to include the names, affiliations, and email addresses of up to two suggested reviewers in their comments.
